Baumgartner + Partner | Architekt:innen was founded in 2016. We rely on the many years of professional experience of our staff in the field of remodelling and renovation and place great emphasis on the service we provide to our clients. Internally, we focus on a cooperative and consensus-oriented working culture. Baumgartner + Partner is a member of the Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects SIA.

Team

Thomas Baumgartner Gsell

Thomas Baumgartner Gsell is a trained draughtsman and qualified architect ETH/SIA. He studied with Valerio Olgiati, Flora Ruchat-Roncati and Herzog & de Meuron, completed with internships with Miller & Maranta and the Luxembourg State Monument Conservation Agency. In 2001 he graduated with Andrea Deplazes.

After his training, he worked for seven years at Boltshauser Architects, as a manager in charge of several larger public projects.

2007 he joined IE Industrial Engineering Zurich AG, designing high-end production facilities for both food and life sciences industry.

In 2016 he founded Baumgartner + Baumgartner AG together with one of his brothers. Since August 2018, he has managed the company as Baumgartner + Partner AG as sole managing director and majority shareholder.

Thomas Baumgartner has a CAS in project management from the ZHAW and various further training courses in the areas of building law (SIA), personal development, negotiation, workshop moderation, and financial management (all ZfU).

Thomas speaks fluent French and English

Gisella Chacón Jo

Gisella Chacón studied at the Bauhaus University Weimar and graduated in 2007 with a degree in engineering in the field of architecture. After starting at AGPS Architecture Ltd., she joined Stücheli Architekten in 2008 and Müller Sigrist Architekten AG in 2010, where she spent more than eight years working on the design and realisation of various projects.

Since April 2019 Gisella Chacón has been strengthening our team as project manager with a focus on planning.

Gisella speaks fluent Spanish.


Emina Rastoder

Emina Rastoder graduated in 2011 as Dipl.-Ing. Architecture at the TU Dortmund University and subsequently worked as a project architect at Kleihues + Kleihues Architekten in Dülmen. In 2014 she moved to Zurich. From 2016 she worked as an architect at Althammer Hochuli Architekten.

Since January 2018 Emina Rastoder has been working for Baumgartner + Partner and manages projects with a focus on execution. Internally, she coordinates the awarding of contracts and manages the construction accounting. She has been an associated partner since spring 2019.

Emina speaks fluent German, Serbo-Croatian and Bosnian.

Jaime Gil Simoes

Jaime Gil graduated in 2014 as an architect from the Universidad de Alcalà, Madrid, with a specialisation in monument conservation. In 2010 he completed a year abroad at the TU Graz.

Via a job in the Engadin he came to Switzerland in 2015, where he has been living ever since. Until 2016 he worked as a planning architect at Lehmann Springer Architekten in Rapperswil, and for another year at Falbriard Architekten in Zurich.

Jaime Gil joined our company in autumn 2017. He is responsible for our BIM management and CAD system, from design to detailed planning.

Jaime speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese.

Lisa Stango

Lisa grew up in the UK. She studied architecture at Cambridge University, graduating with a Master's degree in 2004. From here she started her career at Cowper Griffith Architects in Cambridge, where she became a partner in 2012.

One year later, she broke off her career and moved to Switzerland in 2013 for family reasons. From 2013 to 2016, she worked for EM2N on the complete renovation of the UBS headquarters, followed by her first family period. She made her first re-entry at ZSB Architects, followed by a second time out for the family in 2020.

Since summer 2021, Lisa has been working 60% with us and brings a wealth of knowledge to our projects.

Lisa speaks fluent English and Italian.

Larissa Hunger

Larissa is new to our team since January 2022 and she has taken over the administration and marketing for the office.
